I was just wondering, what is your favorite wine and what country dose it come from?

Also list some of the unique wines you have tried that were not from so popular of country's, but they were very good.

Ken I split your thread and started a new thread with this post.

My Favorite wines are Italian.

Reds

On a Special occasion I will have a bottle of Tignanello which is a fairly expensive bottle.
I like a lot of the wines from Antinori, especially there Chianti Classico Il Peppoli ,

Ruffino riserva Ducale Gold is also one of my more consumed wines.

I also like a few from Muntepulciano D' Abruzzo.

Caviot Reserve Chianti

Now I like other reds from Calf area. I belong to a taste of Calf wine club
Wistera Red Zin
Kendall Jackson Reserva Merlot, and Cab
Pico red Zin
A few Pinot Noir's as well

Australian
Shyrah, Shirez

Whites

Ruffino Orvieto both the Clasico and the Secco.
Pinto Grigo, Santa Margareta.
A few Australian Chardonnay's

There are many more to add that I did not add because the list would be to long.

I am much more a fan of the red's rather than the whites.
My favorites were the Merlots but then I discovered that I really liked the Australian Sharez's.
After a trip out to visit our son in Oregon we started drinking Oregon Pinot Noir's. While I am sure that the Calif. Pinot Noir's are just as good we kind of feel a loyalty to the Oregon ones.

I only like Inniskillin Icewine....it is hard to find as it is a very limited supply of desert wine.

If you have never tried it...you are truly missing out on the sweet nectar of the gods.

I have a few bottles of Armenian wine and they are some of the best I have ever tasted.
