    Scooba anyone?

    Hi -

Sorry if I was confusing...I don't have a Scooba. I was wondering if anyone else has one and if it works well.

    Have a great day!

      It just keeps getting better.

Robot started acting strangely. Would only go about 6 inches and spin or turn for no reason. Then turn beep and turn itself off.

Went to the iRobot website. Apparently the Roomba "tells" you what is wrong by the number of beeps it makes when it is in difficulty.

Sure enough that mournful tone and single beep means "Check my main brushes". One of the brushes was stuck. Fixed that. Turned roomba back on and away it went on it's rounds.

      Scarey.

        dress up your Roomba?

        http://www.myroombud.com/

If you don't dress up your Roomba, it's just a naked vacuum
myRoomBud, a company started by kids, built by kids, and run by kids
With over 2 million Roombas with loving homes and over half of the Roomba owners already naming their Roombas ... yes you know we're talking about you ... that sound you hear is the call of Roombas from all over the world screaming for clothes. Check out all the original RoomBud™ iRobot® Roomba® costumes. (Sorry but you have to buy the iRobot Roomba seperately). The covers are made of soft thin alova suede. A bit furry but a perfect cover. All covers are hand made by us.

If you own a Roomba, you know what I am talking about. Have you ever:

        named your Roomba?
        talked to your Roomba?
spent more time watching your Roomba than it would take you to vacuum the room(ba)?
bought a second Roomba so your first would not be lonely?

If you answered yes to any of the above, you are a prime candidate for an original RoomBud Roomba costume! At least one RoomBud is being adopted every day by loving Roomba owners ... but this is not fast enough! With over 1,500,000 naked Roombas out there in the world, it will take 4,109 years and 215 days to cloth all those cold, shivering, embarrassed Roombas at this pace. Please do you part and help us. No more naked Roombas!

        It' s a disease.

So, did everyone get the basic Roomba from the woot-off, or was it the Scheduler? I see the basic one on iRobot's site for $149. Looks like fun.

Named her Rosie (after the Jetson's maid).
Talk to her whenever she beeps at me.
            Don't watch her (anymore).
Bought a Scooba but they sleep in separate rooms (poor Scooby has to sleep in the garage, Rosie gets to sleep in the house).

We don't own the scheduler since that wouldn't work well for us. We only run the Roomba when we're taking the dog for a walk or when we're at home.

Made the mistake of running her one day while we were out shopping (and the dog was in the house). Rosie got stuck under the coffee table and started beeping. Dog HATES beeping things. Came home to poor Rosie in two parts! The dog had pulled the dust bin off the back and carried it to another part of the house (well, she stopped beeping ).

I was wondering about how my dog would deal with it. I didn't consider the beeping, though, she gets upset if anyone leaves the beep alarm from a PDA on in the house, it sounds like the noise she hears from her electronic fence collar just before the zap....

                OK so I'm not alone.

I named mine Galileo after one of the shuttlecraft on the original Star Trek. He goes where no one has vacuumed before ( or at least in a very very long time) and the tractor beam from homebase pulls him in every time. I have no idea HOW THAT WORKS!

Tanya I don't know what every one else got but mine is the Sage:

                  YIKES!

                  G,
It only beeps if it gets stuck or if there is something it is calling attention to like my stuck brush the other day. Galileo has only gotten stuck once under one of my antique bureaus in my bedroom. Generally he finds his way out.

Your Sofie wouldn't be bothered by it.

The cats have adjusted pretty well.

Hmm, maybe I will try one. It has to be a pretty specific sound (just like a Palm Pilot alarm) to bother her.

I just ordered a new Roomba Discovery SE 4220 from Woot (1 year warranty - $149 + $5 shipping). Does anyone know the difference(s) between it and the refurbed 4299 model on Amazon?
