For your Wine drinkers

The Houston Livestock and Rodeo is a huge event here. Among the various competitions is a wine competition. The Houston Chronicle has an article on the winning wines.

I gather from the posts here that some of you may imbibe with a glass of wine on a rare occasion, , and thought you may be interested in the winners.

I have a strong suspicion that the wine competition, makes the livestock competition a little more paletable.....

It certainly helps numb the smell senses. The wine competition just started a few years ago and is one of their largest fund raiser. The Rodeo raises millions of dollars for educational scholarships for high schoolers.

This Rodeo is a 3 week affair in late February and early March. It is the largest in the world. It takes over the social events for that period. I think this wine competition is to see who actually gets to come to Houston for the final judging. It's one of the chic events of the Rodeo.

They also have an art competition for kids of all ages through high school. It's amazing to see the art talent these kids have.

It actually sounds very interesting......Plus, I enjoy any type of art competition. You're right, it's amazing to see how much talent is out there. What is the weather like there that time of year?
