    that was quick!

Yes definately tuck the fringe underneath. A regular vacuum doesn't like fringe and your robot doesn't either.

Running "Galileo" every morning in the bedrooms and every evening in the living/dining/kitchen since the day before Thanksgiving. Today was the first time the bin had little in it.

I can't wait until you empty your first bin Arlene especially with your collie!

Jacki don't feel too bad. At least I saved you $25 from what I paid for mine!

I also despise vacuuming. It was supposed to be DH's job. We can ponder how long between the house went

So, now it is fun and 2/3 of the house get vacuumed EVERY day. My DS says he is sleeping better now that the robot vacuums his room each day. He is allergic to dustmites. You can't see 'em but Roomba gets them.

Eric. Yes they work. I think they work exceptionally well on tile, hardwood, berber and very low pile carpeting.

I'm strange. One of my favorite presents from DH was a Kitchen Aide mixer. If I were to get a Roomba under the tree you'd probably get lucky.

But I am DEFINATELY in the minority and maybe a plan "B" would be adviseable in case your DW throws the robot at you.

Thank you for this Lawren. Mine arrived today and is charging now.

A question...we have a lot of stuff on our floor...how does the roomba handle that? For instance, in the kitchen we have the cat food and water bowls...do we have to pick them up or will the roomba nudge them and move on? Or, what if there is a toy on the bedroom floor? Does it mess up what the roomba is doing?

          Thanks so much again!

This is fun! I had to laugh at all the stuff our new Roomba brought out from under the couch! Once it stopped because it ate a Bratz shoe, and a second time it stopped because it ate a sock. But it was no big deal to reset it. It was my fault for not "roomba proofing" under the couch.

I do like it. I love how it does the edges of the wall where all the dust bunnies start. This is going to be great for keeping the collie hair under control. Our dog has soooo much hair. My girls love it and are fighting over what to name it. DD10 wants "Ruby" DD8 wants "Sushi" and DD5 wants "Brittany." Not sure which one will stick. It did cause my daughters to pick up in their rooms so that I could let Roomba loose up there tomorrow. If that keeps up, that alone makes it worth the money

One weird thing is that it fell down some stairs , which I thought it wasn't supposed to do. Luckily I was right next to it and caught it after the first stair. That was at the very end right before it went back to the charger. Do they get loopy when they're tired? (I know I do!)
