Help , my wife now believes in Psychics

Good thing there was not a three peat or this Psychic might be coming to live with us. She still has the rest of the week though since she played it for a week each.

There are truly some unexplained phenomena. I personally had something odd happen to me Friday before last. I was sitting in my den, doing some billing and suddenly smelled a musty smell that was the same as the smell of my grandma's store room from the farm house. Grandma and Grandpa moved out of that house 33 years ago but the smell is a very strong memory. I realized that something was probably very wrong with my grandma. I dismissed it in my own mind but mentioned it to my stepdad that same evening. Well, my uncle called the next day at noon and Grandma was in the hospital, having been admitted directly from a doctor's appointment she had Friday morning. My uncle was not surprised at all because we are all very spiritual.

My stepdad and husband both think I am more psychic than I even know. I have done other spooky things. Once, I felt terribly panicked and needed to talk to Rick immediately. I was sitting at a restaurant with my nephew and Rick was on duty at the firehouse. (This was before cell phones were common, so I did not have one.) I jumped out of my seat and ran for the pay phone, which had a handset but no cord, so I went to the cashier and asked to use the phone, stating it was an emergency. I dialed the firehouse. Sure enough, Rick had gotten into an accident with the firetruck and was heading to the hospital in an ambulance. He was okay, but I knew something was up. I am very connected to family through spirit. I don't think I am special, I just think I am more in tune with the spirit than most other people are.

When my paternal grandmother died, I was vacuuming my hallway on December 23rd, getting the house ready for dinner and Grandma's spirit definitely stopped by. I smelled her cologne, Windsong. I suddenly knew she would not be there for dinner. I called my aunt and asked if Grandma was okay. She said she thought so, but she would go check. Grandma was dead in her chair. She fell asleep peacefully while reading her Bible.

I knew my son would be born on December 5th. I just knew he would be born that particular day and no one on my side of the family was surprised, though it was a few days earlier than my due date of the 7th, Pearl Harbor Day. I even embroidered his birthdate and his name on a wall hanging I made during my pregnancy. Rick's family thought I was losing my mind and actually advised Rick to take me to the doctor--a psychiatrist.

Allison Dubois of Medium fame is a real person with amazing abilities. I think she worked hard to develop them.

So I believe in this stuff to an extent. I just don't think it is something that you can count on to work all the time. I never did have a feeling about my other two kids' birthdays and other people around me have died with no feeling coming to me. I cannot explain it, but it is there.

Here is another thing that the Psychic said was going to happen.
With In 6 days there would be a slit family crisis. Well last night there was a large explosion. My house rocked as we felt and heard the boom. My first thought was 911 all over again. My Mil lives a block and a half away from me. On her corner the Mobil gas station over flowed there gas tanks and it leaked on to the sewer system. A man hole cover blew up, The noise and tremor could be felt for at least a mile away. I smelt the gass as soon as I opened my door to go out side.
I ran over there to get my MIL right away. The fire dept was already there when it blew up and was working on cleaning it up before the explosion. The fire dept were in her co up for safe measures. The area was blocked off so I was lucky to be able to get to her and bring her by me.

I am not sure if the two connect but I guess it could be considered a family crisis.

Well another thing sort of came true. The Psychic said that I was going to receive a call from California. Yesterday I did but I do not think it counts. The person that called lives in MD and they have there phone lines crossed. It came up on my caller ID saying California. I have a lot of family that lives in California so I was expecting someone else. I guess if there is any truth to this Psychic thing, If she sees a number, She might have seen what I saw on my caller id. I still am not a believer but if my wife hits her # straight this week. I will Believe.

Intesting discussion. I just got back from a cruise and we happened to discuss psychics. Years ago my friend and I went for a reading. The psychic told my friend she had a bad aura and she'd fix it for money, of course. Well, we discounted her immediately. Especially since she told me I would marry a light haired American (I was dating an Englishman with dark hair who lived in Brussels) who was involved with money. I thought "I never had romantic feelings towards a blond man and accounting????" Anyway, I met my husband who had early aged gray/white hair and worked on Wall Street in private banking - it didn't click until another discussion re psychics like this one. My friend with the bad aura has not had a happy life. Linda

I have a friend who is a card reader and astrologer. She just did charts for my two older children as a holiday gift and we just talked about them this morning. She has told me many times that a lot of the "predicting" that psychics do is about being empathetic to people and following hunches about the way they are. In many ways it's like being a therapist...or a bartender...or a hairdresser...like any "listening" profession.

She didn't do any predicting for the children, just talked about the way their personalities are and how DH and I could help them in life in different ways, by encouraging their strengths (as shown by the charts) and protecting them from their weaknesses. She knows my kids well and the readings reflected that. If she didn't know the kids, if she were a complete stranger, I don't know how informative the charts and the interpretation would have been.

Something like "you will have a slight family crisis in six days"--that to me is very suspicious. In my average week, I know we have at least one slight family crisis, if not ten slight family crises! But predicting the numbers is pretty weird.

I thought that was stockbrokers?

Anyway...isn't that just psychic marketing? It's the easy answer to all that, "If you're psychic, why aren't you rich?" stuff.

I have used an "animal communicator".

She is all the way across the country in San Diego. You send her a picture of your pet and she "communicates" with it.

Now you would say that's BS but wait! A friend of mine had her read her dog. With no prompting Cindy said: Charlie says there are too many cats <he lived with 18 of them> and he isn't feeling well at all.

Charlie died unexpectedly 5 months later of a rare blood disease. He was only 6 years old.

I was having a lot of problems with my horse. We were "stuck" at a certain point in our relationship; so I had Cindy "read" for Merlot and said he was abused <obviously> and they "broke my nose". This was confirmed by his equine dentist shortly afterward. I practiced some of her suggested methods and we moved forward shortly afterwards.

I am VERY good at reading most animals I work in physical contact with. It is a gift I have. But HOW does this woman do this from a picture??

Lawren, I listened to a radio show and this person was communicating with pets during that show. It sounded far fetched to me but the people would agree with her from what she told them. My animals communicated with me but they showed me what they wanted. They sat in front of the fridge for a treat or at the door to go out or at my feet to be picked up but that is pretty obvious to everyone. One cat had so many different meows that I always wondered what he was trying to communicate.

I always knew when they were in distress or very content. Our little dog would go and sit at the front door long before my DH would open the garage door. She knew when he was coming and would really get excited when he turned the corner of the street. I doubt she could hear the car that far away. Animals are amazing!!!

During my usual wake up in the middle of the night I was thinking of this thread. It reminded me that I had my palm (hand) read at a Renaissance Fair. My friend G-Mother taught us to do this a little so I thought I'd see how good they were. Well, here I am - 28 years old and he stops reading me and looks distressed. He then asked me if I had had a death of someone extremely close (he was reading my marriage lines). I asked him why and he didn't want to say. He asked if I had been married or was married. I finally let him off the hook as I was a young widow and he apparently could see it. He said, indeed one of my marriage lines was broken and not by divorce. I said "one of them???" and he replied that I would be getting married in my 30's. Right again!!!

OK now I have to admit this is getting freaky. I just received a call from my cousin who I have not spoken to or seen in 2 years. He has a very close friend who is a Psychic. Anyway the friend was over his house because they were going out partying. They were hanging out in his bedroom and she said to him that one of his uncles was on his bed. She said his name was Sal. She then said to watch Frank as he is not feeling good but he is now taking care of it.
Now a week goes by and

What really made this become even more freaky was there was a picture of my dad with 4 other people in the picture. Yep she pointed right to him and said that was the man that was sitting on his bed.


The Sal she was referring to is my father which is his uncle and 3 weeks ago I was not feeling good. I did go to the Doctor to see what was up and for the first time in my life my Cholesterol was high and so was my blood pressure. I started to take in more Flax seed oil and Omega3 fatty acids alone with the cutting down of the starches. I am now feeling myself again, I guess the Holidays put a few pounds on me and put me over the top.

BTW she does not take any money from him at all.

Now when my wife heard this, she said that it now makes sense. When she went, the Psychic was saying that someone with a name starting with the letter S was trying to communicate with her. My wife was throwing her off because she first thought about our Son Sal and the Psychic kept saying it was not her son. My wife now realizes that it was my dad trying to tell her something.

I am slowly becoming a believer.
