    Is Roomba really a timesaver??

Come on now, 'fess up. How many of you spend more time just watching Roomba work than it would have taken you to get the vacuum cleaner and do it yourself?
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

    “You shouldn't wear that body.”

After a while you stop watching and go do stuff. Like post on TS4Ms.

    How do you like it?

Last year, I bought one for my brother for Christmas. He said it was the best present he received all year.

I saw both the roomba and the scooba advertised in today's paper at Linens and things (I think) and was thinking of getting the scooba. Hate to scrub my kitchen floor. Does anyone know if it works on ceramic tile without leaving a puddle on all the grout? TIA.

Yes, most definitely a timesaver. No point in watching it (the novelty of that wears off after the first time). We turn ours on when we leave the house so it does the job while we're gone. It's wonderful!

I like the Scooba (not quite as much as I like the Roomba). It needs a little more tending. I think it works best on our wood floors, they really shine. But it does a good job on the tile too. It doesn't dry the grout completely but it doesn't puddle. Sometimes it thinks it's done but the floor is still wet and we have to turn it back on to finish the drying (sometimes more than once). But it still beats mopping or cleaning the floors yourself!

We use the Roomba every day (much more often than we used to vacuum) so the house is always clean. We use the Scooba at least once a week. We're very happy with both . The best part is that we don't argue about vacuuming or mopping anymore.

I wonder how animals will like it? Do they get used to it? I once had a little mouse that worked with a battery and I thought that it would amuse them but instead, my animals were very scared of it and didn't want nothing to do with it. It may have been the noise? Is it noisy?

Yhamks, Vin. Maybe I'll start with the scooba and see how ot works. We don't argue over who does the floors. I do them all.

Emmy they get used to it.

Sometimes Cougar bounces on it and sets it off.

My dog and cat also got used to it quickly. We don't leave the dog in the house with it if we're not home. Not because he is afraid of it but once it got stuck under a table while we were away. When that happens it makes a beeping noise periodically (sort of an "I'm stuck" alert). Well our dog hates beeping noises (the smoke alarm practically gives him a heart attack). When we came home the dog had dismantled the Roomba in an attempt to stop the beeping (which it did ). Luckily it didn't break the vacuum.

The Roomba rarely gets stuck but we just don't risk that anymore (or risk upsetting the dog) so we only run it when we're home or taking the dog for his daily walk. The cat just sleeps through it.

You have a smart dog. Good to hear that it still worked after that.

It doesn't substitute for a real vacuuming, but it is great for in-between vacuuming or for areas that basically get dirty from dust but not from use. My family room has black plush carpeting and it does a great job.

                        bought a scooba

Went to Linens and Things today with my 20% off coupon and purchased a scooba. They were out of roombas or I would have purchased one also. Hope to use it tomorrow or wednesday. Also purchased at WalMart new microwave (old one died), new indoor grill (teflon coming off George Foreman) and 10 inch screen portable dvd player. Now if only I could be renewed like my appliances
