I've gotten a lot of SPAM lately that's made it through the Yahoo filters.
Why does this happen all of a sudden?

Over the past three weeks a lot of SPAM in my junk file has my name, my zip, my street address, and/or my phone number in the subject line.
Where is this coming from? Yahoo filter correctly IDs it as SPAM.

The past two days I've received several SPAMs correctly sent to junk that were "Sell Your Timeshare Now."

Classifieds ? They can't get the information here. I would certainly support some internet policing of spammers and closing down websites that create it. I'm down to only 1200 bulk e-mails a month through Yahoo mail plus about 50 that make it to the inbox. I get a lot of spam at another e-mail address that was new and never used online. It's a PITA.

"Sell my timeshare now" is a website/resale company. Maybe you can email them to ask if they're behind the spam and give them a "cease and desist" warning?

If you want to see where it's coming from, In the future.

When you fill something out on the net no matter what it is. If it asks for your DOB put in a different date. I change it to a day before or after or a month before or after or a year before or after. When I get spam that has the date that I used I will go back to where I used it and undo my profile with them or give them a good none using email address that I do not check.

Once you have registered with a site it may be worthwhile going back into your profile and editing the e-mail address. Simply putting an extra character in it will prevent spammers using the address. Obviously it will also stop genuine contact from the site as well.
