I took my wife and kids to see Wicked tonight (in Chicago). Wow, it was great. The kids have been listening to the music on CD for 2 months now and it was really neat to see them mouthing some of the words and bobbing their heads. They loved it. Now, when we listen to the music it will mean so much more to us. Last year we took them to see Mamma Mia, which they loved, but Wicked has moved up to the top of the list for them. However, I had to answer lots of questions from my 7 year old to explain things on how Wicked and the Wizard of Oz fit together. I think they did a great job on blending the two together. It was a great show and if it didn't cost so much, my wife would definitely go see it again.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

My mom and I saw it twice last year, it just gets better and better. The more you see it, the more you pick up on the little things. The second time we took my nine yea old daughter, she loved it too. And now, from listening to the music, my eight year old son is dying to see it as well.
If you live near Chicago, you can go there during the day and sign up for front row seats. It is done by lottery, and each person pulled can buy 2 tickets at $25. If you go on a weekday, especially for the matinée, you have a good chance of being pulled, even more than one of your party being pulled. The guy sort of hinted that there are often seats left empty because not enough people are in the lottery. It's an idea if you don't mind taking the chance, and you want to hang around Chicago for the day anyway. If your interested, the box office can tell you all the details, like cash only and bring your driver's license.
Can't wait to see it again!
