  • Cendant Stocks Since the Spinoffs

Compared to Cendant stock price prior to the spinoff, a bit higher than the date of the spinoff, H is up 4%, CAR is down 14% and WYN is down 7%.

WYN has RCI and all that stuff, now under the Wyndham flag.

If I'm not mistaken H is the hotels and motels and CAR is the rental cars.

I believe the timeshare rentals are under RIP or RAPE.

All hotels are under WYN. H has all Real Estate Brokerage Services, Relocation Services, and Title and Settlement Services. The Real Estate Franchise Services segment franchises the Century 21, Coldwell Banker, ERA, Sotheby’s International Realty, and Coldwell Banker Commercial brand names.

Today is the first day that the sum of the parts is greater than the whole, at least when I bought the whole.

Yesterday was the first day that all of the spinoffs were trading higher than their values based on my purchase price before the spinoffs.

Where in the H Did H Go?

I realize I must have dozed off, not paying attention in class, or didn't read one of those lengthy mumbo-jumble messages they send, but this morning it says there is no ticker symbol H.

Can someone tell me where Realogy went?

                  Gracias.

Last night on Kramer's show. He mentioned the Cendant stock split and is recommending Wyn since that stock is down. He feels it is a bargain. I might buy some of it if it is down today. He was telling the viewers that timesharing is the way to go.

Reology has been sold or is in the process of being sold. I noticed that in the Sunday papers, while reading about Silverman's 82 million plus severance package.

Some private group bought them. So one time people think WYN will be bought in the near future too, and push their stock up a little.

That's all fine and dandy, but what do we own?

You will own CAR and WYN plus some cash from the sell of H ($30 per share).

Thanks. I totally dozed off on this one.

I did that in class once, at Moo U. It was winter quarter and an 8:00 class, in one of those clunky old buildings with steam-heat radiators. That and my accounting professor put me to sleep. It was in an old student's desk, front row, and I slid right down to the floor, with my books scattering as I went.

                              Think anyone noticed?

Oh well, one more thing I don't have to worry about. I bought it at a spin-off converted price of $28.73, so didn't lose anything except for time.
