Does anyone know of another cheap website where you can bid on hotel rooms other than priceline? I must be bidding to low because I have not been able to get anything. I am looking for Washington DC for a few days the week after Easter and getting the Fairfield Resort in Alexander is next to impossible. Or does anyone know of a hotel chain that is offering a special or deep discounted rate.

Did you look at betterbidding.com and biddingfortravel.com for tips on bidding? Maybe you are trying for a date that is in high demand due to a conference or cherry blossoms or something.

Did you try Hotwire? Not bidding but similar to Priceline. Seeing the prices offered on Hotwire can sometimes give you some hints on what prices to bid at Priceline.

Do a google search on Discount Hotels Washington DC. We did that a few years ago, found a local site that got us a good deal at Jury's Hotel at Dupont Circle
