I know you will not violate but better be careful now...Californian
    drivers.

    Please pass to your friends.

    Updating on traffic Violation Fine

(NOT $271, posted on the highway is old).
Don't do it again because the 2nd time is going to be
double. The 3rd time triple and the 4th time license suspended.

    2. Incorrect lane change $380. Don't cross lane on solid lanes or
    intersection

Where did you see this? I have never heard of cell phone fines, and I'm surprised there hasn't been more media attention to the increased fines.

Fine for driving holding cell phone?

Isn't there also a fine for not using hand free while talking on a cell phone?

Not in California that I'm aware of.

Those are some very hefty fines!!!! I was complaining because I got a $100.00 fine a couple of weeks ago for parking too close to the corner.....Now I don't feel so badly.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Wow, I'll have to watch my speeding for sure. Tree miles doesn't even allow for any equipment error. I had a Garmin GPS system in my car and the speed that I was traveling showing on that different from my speedometer by about 2 miles, so not sure which was correct.

I'm also curious as to where you found this and whether all of the represented changes are factual. The only reference I can find is this exact duplicate of the wording of most of the items in your post.

As an example, this DMV announcement doesn't seem to support the claim that DUI = jail. Also, this 2007 AAA announcement suggests that jail is likely only if the DUI results in a felony conviction, which is generally not typical unless there are injuries.

At least Commi-fornia isn't as bad as some of those Nordic countries where your fine is based on your income level.

I found it on a web site I was looking at. The problem is I can’t find that site I was looking at.

It goes into effect in June. But there's a grandfather clause if your cell phone doesn't have blue tooth, you get until '08. Something weird like that.
