Please keep the ideas comming... This is a brain storming exercise and while I need to print some cards tonight so I can get them delivered to Lisa ASAP once we get a design we really like we will have a bunch of cards printed and then we will send them out to people that want some to hand out.

Often we talk to someone about timesharing and you may mention the site and perhaps the person remembers to come visit or perhaps they forget. The card just will help them find their way.

Short and simple is certainly the goal as is giving the person enough to make then want to try the url.

I have problems at work (I had to work all day yesterday too) so I just can't work on this myself at this time...

    Thanks Again for the ideas!

I like Angela's thoughts also. I do think that we may also not want to focus on the "resale" angle but rather on the how to get the most value for your timeshare whethor you purchased resale or from the developer. I know we want people to know about the resale market, but I know that I have seen alot of people who did purchase from the developer that even when they run the numbers still got great value from their timeshares because they learned how to use it. I wouldn't want to see t/s owners not look into the site because they didn't purchase resale.

What I am going to be focusing on at the t/s seminar is 1. explaining how t/s works from the traditional fixed week fixed unit to points systems 2. determining if it is the right vacation life style for a person and then 3. focusing on the costs involved from purchase price, maintenance fees, special assessments and then exchange fees.

I do agree that we should KISS and that hopefully alot of information will be given by the person giving the card. Just curious, what types of scenario's do you envision where a person would just pick up a card without someone being there to give the background info?

Also, since I will be there giving the background info on the first set, those can be real simple.

To get the best out of this forum Carol you will need to have a broard veiw of things to say how many times do you mention the word timeshare to people and they say we do not want a thing to do with it yet they wonder how you go to so many places so cheap.
Travel you have travel to go to timeshare places I see pleople asking about things on this forum all the time about travel things to see and do .
Tripadvisor Carol now has a timeshare and vacation part in there forum also so why cannot we go into travel
Tripadvisor is very good I know it has very broard range of subjects to choose from they also have 100s of hits a day so why cannot we have some of there luck and go also
To succeed with this forum you must look for new things all the time if you have the front and back door closed in this world some one will open the back door and knocked you of the perch by someone that is broard minded
Now do not take me up on saying this forum is not broard minded as it has a lot of good subjects and good debates but you have to be on the look out for someting new all the time.
This card is a very idear but has to eye catching and simple but have some thing new to bring in people keep debating some one will come up with the idear how about (Ask us how do we go to so many places so cheaply)

Yes, that'll do. Can you add the URL to the first card?

Actually, those first two were drawn in MS Paint as examples... I could add it but there would not be much value...

Attached is a new verson done in one of my wife's programs. It looks much better printed then the screen shot...

Looks good. Are we going to be able to order some? May want to put some personal information on the back side and make it a two sided card.

I agree that there's not much value to the internet savvy but believe it or not, there are people out there who need the whole URL spelt out for them. A simple TimeshareForums.com might not do it. The new one looks good. Exactly what we need.

Could add the Hot Tub for BF if there's room.

                          It is there...

                          Printed this looks good....

I printed about 100 of these for Lisa for now and now we can work on a design that we will get printed in bulk. If we come up with a design we like, I will get it into a format where members can download a file and print their own or have them printed.

Examples might include MS word, PDF, etc.

I have a box of the Avery business cards in my house for years. I wondered what I was going to do with them. They come out good but not as good as a printer.

The ones I did tonight are not as nice as special printed cards but I didn't have time so we got what we got...

I wish I had a way to upload a "good" image of these as I think the general layout of these will work as real business cards as well.

Hey Lisa... cards are packed to go!
