    Thank you for the tips on stretching and the instructions, I'm going to print them out for DH. I saw some of the exercises online but it's great to hear from people who have used them successfully.

    I know they will work for a while, I just worry that DH's problems will get inevitably worse.

      I have found that my back has many more problems when I am not exercizing regularly. I have found relief in my back by strengthening my abdominal muscles. When the stomach muscles are weak, then the back has to overcompensate and hold the body upright all by itself.
