Law and Order is filming in my neighborhood!

I got a flyer in my door and sure enough, the trucks are parked across the street. Today they're filming a scene where a police officer interviews a kid getting off a bus. Tomorrow they're filming an "exterior crime scene involving a murder investigation. For this scene, we will have lights flashing and will be wheeling out prop bodies on gurneys." Wheeeee!

They've been working in our town for a few weeks. The director of these episodes went to high school here.

What fun!!!!.....I worked at a job on 75 St. in the city, where they would film on a regular basis. It was a lot of fun watching them. They would halt traffic, both in the street, and on the sidewalks. Tons of lighting, and equipment, actors, directors, etc. It was exciting to see.

My camera's broken! (I know, I should buy one on Woot!) But anyway, tomorrow will be the fun day, with the bodies on gurneys.

When I worked at 5th and 15th, Sex and the City filmed down there about every other month. For some reason they just loved that neighborhood, I guess because it looks sort of generically New York-y (office buildings, restaurants, cute shops) but there's not as much traffic and activity as there is farther up Fifth. Now when I watch it I see the neighborhood all over again...and I have flashbacks to my terrible boss...
