I wonder if they're worried about the wine freezing, or what? Fedex still delivers/picks up...
I got mine this morning as well. I can not look at that site until about sometime near the end of next week. I will have to order from My Pc Phone if I see something good.

I think the wine could easily freeze. Then the corks pop out and the wine (when it melts) goes everywhere, so in addition to ruining the wine shipment, it can ruin a lot of other shipments too.

I think you're right, but what about the stuff that left already and is in transit now? My Brunellos were awfully chilly when they got here... fortunately they are packed in double cardboard, and hopefully they don't spend too much time sitting outdoors... something to think about before ordering again I guess...

They're very well insulated. I bet they'll be fine. I worry more about ordering wine in the summer, when it can cook in the bottle.

Remember that wine shipments are clearly labeled and handled differently than other shipments. FedEx probably holds them in the warehouse if there's any danger that they'll freeze in the trucks.

Justin just started working there last week. They sent me an email introducing him. Before that I used to wait sometimes for days for a RESPONSE. But at times they would respond right away from a Blackberry. I do hope that the Brunellos will be OK. The box did not feel that cold so maybe they will be OK.

I saw it last night and did get the itch. I am afraid that since I will not be here that they might screw up if I ask them to hold the shipment. There CS might be better now but there old track record was the Pitts.

I could ask him to get it but I do not think he ever ordered from them before. I always place the order and we split it here. I also think that he might be like me OVERSTOCKED with wine. I should be speaking to him later on and will ask.

I love that name. "Silver Nectar." Sigh. It's like a romance novel. Or a drink that you sip as you look out over the water. Or the mysterious treasure that Raoul leads you to, with the help of the secret map. "Silver Nectar."
