I was thinking about this one; I really like the last Brunello I bought. Ok, I'll go for it..

eta: I couldn't resist the free shipping with 3 bottles.

Hey Frank. Does this site ever have any wines that us po' folk can afford? Like under $20/bottle?

Phil, they do occasionally carry some very drinkabe wines $10 or less... but it doesn't happen often...

I have bought a few great ones at under $12 a bottle, And these sell for over $40 a bottle elsewhere. Problem is some have been so good that I can not find them anywhere. There have been a few at $8 and a few at $10. I do see a lot at $15 and above.

I'm the cheapskate in the winestillsoldout crowd. Frank and Glitter are more serious connoisseurs.

WTSO has a white with "Pozzi" in the name that's very good and it seems to pop up pretty frequently--that's around $7 a bottle. I also bought some Australian shiraz that's really good for about $8 a bottle.

They often have wines hovering in the $11-$16 range that sound good to me--in fact I bought some $17 bottles a while back that I still haven't worked up the nerve to drink b/c they're so far over my usual budget!

The discounts are always substantial and I love the free shipping with a minimum purchase. It's an excellent site!

I am a mere novice compared to Frank. Once upon a childless time, DH and I enjoyed some tastings and the like, but now I just appreciate a good value. Every now and then I treat us to something nice...

We should plan TS4m's a day at one of the LI the wineries this year. It will be fun to have a bunch of drunken wino time share owners in Long Island all at once.

That would be fun! Long Island is like a closed book to me. DH went to grad school at Stony Brook, though, so he knows it a bit. Where are the wineries?

There are some good ones in Southhold like Pindar and there are some on the south end like Dulk Walk.

the North Fork (Southhold and surrounds) has a nice assortment. Pindar is big, but there are some nice smaller ones too. One strategy is to drive out to Greenport and hit the wineries in order on the way back. Though some are on Route 25 and others are on what I call the North Road, I think it's Sound Avenue and/or 25A...

A nice weekend would be to do some on the way out, spend the night in Greenport, and do some on the way back. But that pesky driving business keeps getting in our way

Phil you got your $12 bottle up today. I am sure it is very good and it is a well rated wine, but I would not buy it because I no longer buy French wines.

What a great site!! Thanks Frank.

I bought 4 bottles of todays wine.

Could I ask why you no longer drink French wine? Or am I being too nosy?
