I had the same thought but had to help DS study tonight... tomorrow we need to pack and turn in early so we can be ready for our Saturday 5:30 am pick up... grrrrr.... I guess we can wait until we get back, if they're bad it hopefully won't be too late. It occurs to me that I am still missing another shipment besides the one I delayed... I hope it gets here tomorrow and isn't frozen, though at least it was less expensive

Avery what airport are you flying out of. I have a 7 am flight out of LGA and my cousin has a 6 am flight out of JFK. We are going to meet in Atlanta and then onto SNA in Califorina.

our flight departs LGA at 7:20 on Delta, direct to SLC. We will probably get to the gate early since we don't have any bags to check, so if you are nearby, come say hi. We can open a Brunello

WE will most likely be able to share a coffee together since I am also flying Delta to Atlanta and should be in the same terminal.

Same problem here. Found the Brunello on my doorstep Thursday evening in 12 degree weather (despite 'adult signature req'd' fedexp just dropped it off).

Seemed not to be frozen but VERY cold.

                Suggestions?

I don't know what to do. I might email them or we should all email them to alert them that there might be a problem. If this were a $10 bottle I would not bother but for a $60 bottle even though we paid $34. It is worth the bother since we all spent over $100.

Got my 6 bottles today! Yep, I had to sign for it. I was in my bathrobe, about 8:30AM, and he did NOT ask for my ID. I hope I didn't scare him.

I just opened the first bottle (5:30PM) and it is pretty good. Definitely worth $6.99/bottle. It's a Malbec from Argentina. Thanks for the OP, Frank.

I did email - - the head of the company answered right back. He told me to open a bottle and if not fully satisfied, he'll make a full refund. That's the kind of company you want to buy more from!

oh, no, a 22 year old Tawny Port... with a 98 rating! I love port... Frank, shipping is free with 2 bottles, do you want one? I shouldn't even drink port, it gives me a headache, but I just love a good port, and the bottle is the price of a glass or two out... maybe it will sell out before you reply...

DANG, I went to order anyway and turns out it sold out at 3 am. figures.

I love port, too, and I was tempted...but it was a pony-size bottle, 375 ml. I would have bought one, but buying two little ones for $60 was too rich for my wimpy blood.

I appear to have reached a new low. I opened the box of 6 bottles of the Lost Block Australian Chardonnay, and the bottles are screwtop
Will taste when I have a chance, but I am not optimistic, and I guess I can't bring it to anyone's house...

I know the Screw caps look cheap but don't knock them all. I have had some good ones at restaurants and I just happen to have a $40 screw cap bottle at home.
