I wish I could bake cookies...but my son and I are both doing the low carb thing. In fact, it's been difficult to find creative things to make for him everyday and to not make the girls the easy/typical pasta and mac and cheese that I do when in a rush. Now that we have the whole day stretched before us...I need some ideas!!

Make clay. The kids can sculpt it. Bake it and then they can paint it!

    Materials Needed:

    2 Cups Flour
    1 Cup Salt
    2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
    3/4 - 1 Cup Water

    Instructions:
Mix together flour and salt. Add the oil and then slowly add the water and stir until you get a nice clay consistency. Once completely mixed, make into the desired shapes. Bake in a 250 degree oven for approximately 1 hour. This will vary depending on how thick you creations are. One hint, do not make shapes too thick or they will crack with baking.

Have you tried Dreamfield's Pastas. They are great and only 5 carbs/serving. The servings are a normal size too!

We got a couple of inches of snow and at least that in sleet on top. It's still sleeting but it's so thick that it looks like snow. The dog likes running around in it. I'm hoping we don't lose power because then we will have no heat or water and it's too dangerous to go anywhere.

Ugh!!!....My electricity has started flickering, and my satellite TV is going in and out.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

So far, so good, we still have electricity. However, my neighboring town is currently out, and that's not a good sign. I'm trying to do what I need to do today, just in case it does go out.

              Not good!

The last thing you want on a day like today is no power.

Are the lines coing down from ice?

Still doing something here-sleet or freezing rain. I got the snow thrower last Jan. or early Feb. and we haven't had more than 4" since. It's a keeper !

I'm not really sure what the cause is. Not that much is really happening here. This area is notorious for loosing electricity, before most others. It stinks!!!!

It's turned back to snow here. In an unexplained miracle, work didn't open until 10 and then closed at noon. I've been there 20 years and that has never happened before. I wonder if it's because we now have a woman making that decision for our area?

Maybe I should be investing in a generator .....

Not a bad idea, Angela. I would hate to see you out of power and having no heat or hot water. What is it with the weather? It is out of whack everywhere but it is nice and sunny here. Sorry, I had to rub that in.

We have used our snowblower and our generator and our backup up heat only a few times since we purchased them (7 years ago)

Maybe you should get a generator . .

Valentines Day - Snow and Ice Storm Here in Maryland

This time last year we were at Disneys Old Key Resort in FL
This winter we have been closer to home & the weather has
been nice up until a few weeks ago. Overnight we had snow
Then we woke up this morning to an Ice Storm. Our pine tree
is bending but it looks so beautiful with all the ice hanging off it.
We had Blueberry Pancakes, Saugage & Fresh Fruit for Breakfast
We have been looking at our Digital Photos. *Just another month
until Spring. Happy Valentine`s Day to Everyone Here on TS4Ms.
