    Today is Fat Tuesday...

    Today is 'Fat Tuesday'....That means that you are suppose to feast and party all day in preparation for lent, and fasting. Don't let today go by, without taking advantage. Here is your chance to justify those 'Funny Bones.'

    Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, and Lent begins. This year, I have decided to give up coleslaw, for lent.

    OK, I'm off the diet for the day and buttering the popcorn for tonight's game on TV. After being so sick Sunday that I couldn't eat anything all day, maybe it won't hurt so bad.

      Sorry to hear that you were sick on Sunday. Definitely, go off your diet today. You deserve it, besides, it's Fat Tuesday!! Buttered popcorn....yummy, my absolute favorite. I may have to make that tonight, too.

      I'm going all out this year. I stopped for coffee this morning, and I picked up my Funny Bones. BTW, the package contained an extra one, for free. I didn't dare look on the back of the package to see the damage that 3 of them, would cause. I also asked my DH if we could go out to dinner tonight, to celebrate.....I'm gonna order mash potatoes, and have a big desert.

        OMG! I LOVE Funny Bones.

        I've been eating chocolate all day...

        Althought we are not practicing catholics we do observe the Lenten rules. So I'm thinking about tomorrow's dinner menu.

        DS and I LOVE fish but DH can't abide anything from the water. The wierd thing is DH is the one that always says we have to observe it.

            He lives on italian, stuffed shells, manicotti, pizza, etc. Fine as I work alternate Fridays and I won't have to "think" about what to make for the boys...

            DS and I feast on fish dishes. Some of which I am busy posting in the recipe forum.

              I fasted all day cause I was having a 6 hr sleep apnea test. Let's just say I was "wired" all day and unable to eat or drink...only slept! Does that count for a Lenten fast?
