In viewing the additional information at John W. Cornwell Beer Launching Fridge, I noticed that the catapult assembly is spring loaded.

That spring will experience mechanical fatigue, resulting in a lower spring constant and cans starting to fall short of the mark. The compensation, of course, is to move the fridge closer to the sofa, but soon the fridge would be so close the beer launcher would not be needed. In extreme cases the spring might even break.

The fatigue, of course, is determined by the extent of usage. With light usage it might not be noticeable at all. In Frank's house we would give it, what .... three, maybe four, months tops??
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

    “You shouldn't wear that body.”

I just forwarded this to my brother-in-law (who is a good candidate for building one of these) with the subject "engineer + couch potato = not thirsty".

Your pic looks like your poised for the catch! Hope the spring holds up.
