Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Been under the radar lately. Have been working long hours at the office, not been able to peek at TS4MS. Also been busy at home with improvement projects. Painting the family room, getting it ready for my new 42" HDTV. Also Got Verizon FIOS installed at 20mbps. I am the first one on the block to jump on this FIOS thing. Really amazed at the technology! The install itself took about 7 hours. It was well worth the hassle!

I am curious about your 20 MBPS service. We can choose from 5 MBPS, 15 MBPS, and 30 MBPS but not 20. I chose the 15 MBPS option. My installation took about 4 hours and was very smooth and was free. They also gave me the first month free and just upgraded my router to wireless for free and let me keep the original router. I already had CAT-5 wiring in the house so they didn't need to install that. I also have Verizon's FIOS Cable TV and FIOS telephone.Flying at MACH4 +

BeagleMom,
It's being rolled out town by town in MA. In my area the first town was Woburn and Burlington came soon after. We signed up as soon as we could and we've been very happy with it. We had a buzzing in our phone line for years that the phone company couldn't clear up. It disappeared as soon as we got FiOS and the internet service is tops! We're also very impressed with the TV service. If anyone in MA wants to be referred, I just got a form from Verizon saying I'll get a bonus. But I've been saying it's great, even with before the bonus.

I am still waiting for FIOS service in my area. Two years ago, Verizon tore up our yards and installed the fiber optic cable. One and a half years ago they sent me a promo to sign up for FIOS. I set up an appointment. They canceled it without calling me. When I called Verizon, they said it was a mistake, and FIOS wasn't yet available in my area. I am still waiting for FIOS availability.

I wonder if they mixed up our lines? I haven't called them out yet because we have to move our bookcase again which is full of books. Why would the FAX or modem no longer work while it always worked with DSL?

There is no reason why the FAX and modem should not still work. I have had no problems at all with my FAX machine nor modem. I would call Verizon and have them fix the problem. My experience with their customer and technical support has been very good and it is all based in the US.John
