DS just called me, he and his friends are on the first (authorized) day in the city without adult supervision...

They stumbled on the filming of the next Bourne film at F.I.T., 7th ave and 25th street. It's a gorgeous day in the city, so go on out if you're in the area...

Wow, FIT is jut 10 minutes away from my house! Oh, wait, that's the Florida Institute of Technology....

I remember passing by the Fashion Institute when I was touristing in Manhattan/Chelsea a while back. The filming would be a very fun thing to see.

They said it got boring after a few minutes, but it was fun to see the actors and the set-up. The city has made a good effort under both Giuliani and Bloomberg to accommodate/encourage filmmakers, so there are often shoots around town. But they aren't exactly 'announced,' so it's fun to happen upon one (though very inconvenient if you're driving in the vicinity).
