  • Ralph Lauren paint smells like BO

When we painted our bedroom few years ago, the paint smelled awful, and the smell stayed in the room for months. I forgot about it, but DH just finished touching up in there after the window replacement, and it stinks so bad I can't stand it...

It's not a regular paint, it's one of the textured paints, maybe they don't all stink, but this is really awful. I am hoping since it was only a touchup around the windows and to patch one hole in the wall that it won't linger as long as last time...

We used RL paint in our dining room, It is the suede look. I do not recall a bad smell at all.

      Thanks for the warning!

I had used an RL flat in the bath and don't remember and odd scent to it...

Have used RL in this home (foyer and 2 bedrooms), and the one we sold in 2005 (kitchen, foyer and livingroom) -- never had unusual smell in either.

We used the suede, and a couple of the texture paints.

        Just lucky I guess.
        hope this info helps,

Well we first painted back around 7 years ago (DH saves all the paint, so we just used what was leftover). So either they've fixed the formula and it doesn't stink anymore, or I just picked the right color/texture. Lucky me
