  • First Bass

First bass of the year, about a 3-pounder.

73°, sitting on the dock, sipping a Bud Light, and catching bass. Not a bad March 13th.

    Small mouth or large mouth?

Those are probably the most fun fish to catch in fresh water.

I saw my first "robin" on Monday and then swarms of them today.

It was a real pretty day here in NY too. Nearly 60 and we got out for a ride on the horses.

    Happy Spring!

      Largemouth.

My wife was on the cellphone with her brother, a bass fisherman, and she had to set the phone down, get the camcorder to record catch, then net the fish. Then she continued the conversation with her brother while I released the fish.

This one had a few battle scars.

Our robins never left this winter. The Conservation Department said they stayed in the woods in swarms numbering up to a million!

It could only be better with fresh fried fish and a good bottle of beer

JLB, I wish I was fishing with you. As you know, the kids had a great time fishing for trout when we were there last Thanksgiving. Of course, that was not at Table Rock Lake. We tried Table Rock, but I think the fish fly south for the winter!

The bass, of course. They all get a kiss.

There's some families with youngins at Big Cedar this week. We've been trying to work in the Margaritaville Dock and a ride on the BTSRN, but now the weather has turned ugly.

Geesh Jim, I thought you had too much to do.
Just a "sitting on the dock, sipping a Bud Light"

Our Jerry went to Phoenix and left me his little 'putt a round'. You have me thinkin I'll git out in it. This landscaping is getting old anyway.
