Did you at least give him the middle name of Patrick?

My husband cooked corned beef for the two of us.

Softball, more softball, and then more softball. Tis the season.

Then a nap in the afternoon.

Not like the old days when St. Patricks Day was a great excuse to party.

I won't mention this to my soon to be arriving on the way to the cruise College Senior group

DH and I went over to Fifth Ave and watched the parade for about 2 hours.
We say Rudy Guilianni marching with his Alma Mater, Manhattan College, Mayor Bloomberg and Ex Governor Pataki with the NYC Fire department and my husbands Alma Mater Iona College.
Everyone is Irish on St Paddy's Day in NY.

There must have been 6 blocks of FDNY officers all looking as if they were having a GREAT time.
High School Bands, Police and Fire Dept Bagpipe Bands from all over the country; it was a wonderful day.
We lucked out and got a spot in the sun on the corner of 57 St and 5 Ave right at the barrier so also enjoyed the entertaining antics of NYPD as they directed the traffic and the pedestrians.

              Pat,

Sounds like a great day. We were at MC last year on St Pat's; we missed the parade but couldn't avoid all the late night drunks. Be careful what you step in walking back to the MC

It is still early here but my SO just came home from the marina and told me that he saw at least six policemen on his way home so they are already out in great force.

We will just stay at home and have a red glass of wine instead of green beer but want to wish you all a safe and happy

Pat....with everything that's going on, I'm glad that you got to see some of the parade. My DD, and her friends were there, too. She told me that it was cold, but they all had a great time.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Will now I know what we were doing for St. Patrick's Day. We went to the Curran Theatre two hours before the show Jersey Boys started and bought tickets for the 2:00pm show, 25$ a ticket for the front row. Then we went and watched the St. Patrick's Day Parade for 1 ½ hrs.

The Jersey Boys was a great show. If any one has the opportunity to see it, GO, GO, And GO.

We didn't have a green cake, but my daughter dressed in green and put shamrock's from the backyard in her hair. (Well - pretend shamrocks - they only had 3 leaves...)

We didn't put Patrick into his name - but if we were Irish, we would have!
