  • So, What Are You Guys Doing For St. Patrick's Day?

Saturday is St. Patrick's Day, and I still don't have any plans.........I had plans last week, but they canceled.

Is anyone doing anything fun, to celebrated?

Nope, not really. There had been talk of going into San Francisco to meet up with some friends, but the friends won't be there. We usually don't have any big plans other than dh making corn beef and cabbage for dinner.

I need a good Corn Beef & Cabbage recipe.......That's one dish that I really haven't made much, over the years.

I don't know if he really has a recipe. I'll ask though. I always thought he just kind of boiled everything (meat, potatoes, cabbage and carrots) all together. I think he also adds seseme seeds????

You live in Ireland, and you're leaving on St Patricks Day???? However, Italy & the Rugby Championship sound great!!!

I'm not Irish so it is a total irrelevance to me.

I thought everyone was Irish on St. Patrick's Day??? Maybe that's just in the US.

Going to a party!! Good cooks coming together with "Irish" food. Never enjoyed the corned beef and cabbage. Have a wonderful "County Longford Irish Stew" dish. It is made with lamb, guinness Stout, tomatoes, carrots, red potatoes, coriander seed, thyme, dijon mustard, red wine vinegar and sherry vinegar.

People seem to like it alot. I wonder if people in the know would be able to tell me if this is an authentic recipe as it claims to be.

                      Hope

Don't really have anything planned. My younger son will be coming home for college break. His school like many closes for break then,I think to get the kids out of town for St. Patricks Day. Also, I think my wife has some computer system update that she has to do for work over the weekend.

I was really tempted to rent NTHC's 3 br on Hilton Head so I could go to Savannah for such fun as I've heard about on St Paddy's Day there. But Erin Go Bwwwaaaa ... I've been told I get tempted too easily to take more vacations.
