THIS CLASSIC MARCH SNOWSTORM WILL ACTULALY BE THE MOST SNOW OF ANY STORM THIS WINTER SEASON!

HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FOR THE EARLY FRIDAY MORNING COMMUTE AS TEMPERATURES FALL BELOW FREEZING.
A MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE INTO FRIDAY NIGHT. THE SNOW MAY MIX WITH SLEET FRIDAY NIGHT. TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW AND SLEET WILL RANGE FROM 8 TO 14 INCHES BEFORE ACCUMULATING SNOW ENDS SATURDAY MORNING.

    Schools are closed here.

Hope the Goumbettes heading to Manhattan Club are packing their snowshoes. Hmmm, I wonder how Crocs handle in snow...

Absolute last thing I feel like dealing with today is snow!

I'm trying to cancel out my day, so that I can just stay at home.

Although the snow was supposed to be here hours ago, it just started about 15 minutes ago in the Poconos. It's coming down at a fast pace and it's also very windy. I want to go back to Cancun!

Me too...Cancun dreamin' right about now!

It's raining full-tilt here in Atlanta, but I'm actually ok with it since I got my organic veggie garden sowed the last two evenings, just in time for a nice drenching.

            Darn those holes.

...I am going to take the cannonball express AKA Long (Wrong) Island railroad at 12 noon - arrives at Penn Station at 2:40

The last time I was at MC it snowed, too. I must be a jinx!

And my poor DD and 30 friends are suppose to be flying out of BOS at 8 am tomorrow to pick up a cruise in MIA. She bought travel insurance yesterday!

Jet Blue and Delta have cancelled over 300 flughts out of JFK - that is a LOT of unhappy people.

I hope the cruise isn't tomorrow! Schools are closed here too even though it wasn't snowing when they called it off. News says it's going to be worse than the Valentine's Day storm.

It's raining here in Central NJ, temp is about 32 - 33 so it's touchy. Really have to keep an eye on it.
They did not close schools here.
I do need to go out from about 10:30 to noon, hope I can make it (it's a market research study but the money comes in handy) and today is the last day of juice tasting which equals payday.. but not if we can't get there

Schools are open here, but with an early dismissal at 1:00. DH has a full day in his school system. DDs 1 and 2 went off to school but I'm keeping the baby (the elderly baby, she's 7) home because I walk her to school and I was worried that the pick-up would be horrible, even walking. I felt like a wimp until I went outside to walk the dog and got PELTED with this sleety/haily stuff.

DH teaches HS and is the drama director. The show was supposed to be tonight and tomorrow. He's ripping his hair out b/c the tickets are sold and the school auditorium is booked, and if the show has to be cancelled there are no more openings at the auditorium for MONTHS. Also the girls in the cast are getting into screaming hissy fights during every rehearsal.

It is bright and sunny here with temps in the 80's. This is the earliest that I have used our swimming pool. This has been an extremely dry winter. With only a few more weeks left in the rainy season, this year is definitely one of the worst drought years. Definitely the opposite of last year. We did have some extremely cold weather ( for here ) a couple of months ago that resulted in 85% of the orange crops being lost.
