I also hate people who get on the express line with way more items then they should have. Then, proceed to take 9 years to pay for their stuff. They can't get their credit card to work. Or, they're paying by check, etc., etc.

What do they think the "cart corrals" are for? Is it really that difficult/time consuming to push the cart 15 feet to the cart storage area?

    Grrr.
Man, I better not go to the same store as you guys!

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

1.Those who park illegally in HP parking spots. I think that the first time fine should be $250, the second $500 and the third, $1,000 and towed. The fines could then be used towards handicapped access.

        2. Those strangers for whom you open a door for out of courtesy(anywhere) and don't say thanks. I say very loudly, "you're welcome !".

        3. Neo-cons from red states who breathe (just kidding, had to say something political ! )

My pet peeve is stores that don't put enough cart corrals out or put them in every other aisle and there isn't one close to where I parked. Forcing me to put it in front of my car before I pull out of the space.

I wish those intolerant people would just consider how they sound when they start running down other people. Maybe then they might learn to exercise some restraint.

What do a Canuck and a canoe have in common? Neither ever tips!
I am amused that the OP lumped Canada and the US together in terms of tipping practises. Like Australia, Canada"s minimum wage is much higher than the US, so service staff are less dependent on tips to make up their wage.

Just because minimum wages in Canada are higher than the US doesn't mean you do not tip wait staff at a restaurant. Tips of 15-20% should be given when dinning out for good service, even at Canadian restaurants. Wait staff in Canada are still paid less than the standard minimum wage. This may differ from province to province. While I live in the USA now, I grew up in Canada and always tipped for good service.

My pet peeve is getting behind or beside a car that is blarring base so loud that it makes my car shake and the windows almost shatter. I want to jump out of the car and yell at them that they are going to go deaf!!!

Kelli agrees with the grocery carts. She has to go get them and finds them all over the shopping center. Also it drives her crazy when someone leaves the cart in front of the corral instead of walking 2 steps to put it in the right way.

The town where we live makes it mandatory for all shopping carts to have a coin slot attached to the handle which requires a $1 or $2 coin to be inserted in order to be used. People need to return the trolley to the trolley bay to get their money back. Solves that hazard.

Hot Tip: Don't ever move to Atlanta. In fact, don't even visit here unless it's winter and your windows are rolled all the way up.

Yes, tipping is and should still be provided for good service, but this explains why historically Canadians tip far less than Americans. Minimum wage is just that. It is a base hourly wage that everyone is paid. It differs from province to province, but is still fairly high compared to the US. (It currently ranges from $7 - $8.50)
