I see these on sale at Best Buy. They look great in the store.

Also, would the PC input be advisable? Most likely I would never get to use it.

I can only imagine editing Trip West photos on a 42" Plazma HDTV.

How does $899 sound for a 42 Plasma?

      One buyer review

Cons: Only one HDMI input. No built in tuner. Menus lack higher end sets' functions. Cheap feeling remote. This set doesn't smooth or soften Standard Definition feeds as well as higher end sets. Slightly uneven backlighting (only noticeable when TV is on with with plain black screen). Poor speakers.

Only one HDMI input. No built in tuner. . . What does that do for me?

Have satalite dish with tuner. That looks like great price.

Can't use for PC monitor though, right?

Why not. It has a Divi does it not and that is what a PC uses. Am I wrong?

Will have to look at hooking PC to the TV we have. I don't know what all it has available.

Here is another one for $799 but this is LCD. Not sure if that code I posted will work on this if it does that brings it to $699 plus shipping.

I realize this was about four years ago but: We installed multiple plasmas where I worked. I think they were around 60 inchers. Installers recommended a service contract due to many problems and incredibly high prices to get serviced. Had image retention problems that some say have been resolved. Very heavy and needed wall re-inforcement to mount the larger screens. I recommend LCD. Have had a 32" Vizio for two years. No problems. HD is incredible and at least previously didn't have the image burning problem as plasmas. Plasma would be my LAST choice.

FWIW, we have #2 and really enjoy it. No problems so far. Picture is just beautiful, and stunning on HD channels. DH picked it out, so I don't know what he compared it with, but we really like it.
