Careful, Eric, the site Frank is recommending is very dangerous. I am now ignoring a perfectly fine australian red for $7.99, b/c Frank's now got me hooked on lovely italian wines costing a minimum of double that...

I am itching for that $7.99 Cab but I don't have room for 6 bottles. I still have 2 cases on the floor.

You know I'm safe with the big bottles. I think they said prices will start at around $70.

The only one that I am looking for is a Ruffino Gold label. I had it in my hand in Italy but had no room to bring it back. I also heard the prices are starting around $60 a bottle.

                V.Sattui Winery

The last 2 years we have been in the Napa Valley/Sonoma County in the Fall. We stayed at the Windsor Worldmark each time. This is a good timeshare Resort to use for your home base when in the Napa/Sonoma area.

                Windsor, California Trendwest WorldMark Resorts

My favorite winery to visit is the V. Sattui Winery. Besides the wine, they have a great Deli. They also offer complimentary tasting.

                V. Sattui Home Page

I am a member of their Red Wine Only Wine Club. As I understand it, you can only get their wine at their winery or by mail. All the Reds I have tasted have been excellent.

                https://store.freerun.com/vsattui.co...ub_signup.html

As a member of their private Wine of the Month Club, you will receive two bottles of their premium V. Sattui wines each month, usually on a pre-release basis before they are offered to the public. Most shipments will be two bottles of the same wine.

                V. Sattui Wine Club- Red Wine Only

Their RED WINES ONLY program offers specific selections of only our dry red wines, including all of our famous vineyard-designated Cabernets and Zinfandels. The cost is based on the price of the wine, and ranges from $41 to $86 per month including shipping.

Australian Wine Prices Set to Rise

To any fans of Australian wines - the price is set to rise - up to 30% increase over the next 18 months . It has been estimated that the drought has cut the 2007 vintage to about half of last years production. If water allocations in key growing areas are drastically reduced next year's vintage could be even smaller.

                        Time to stock up.
