It's a box, white on top third, the bottom is gold. Called Ozeki Sake Pack. I'm not talking premium deluxe Sake, but you can't beat the price.

I like the rotgut sake just fine--you can get a gigantic bottle of the cheap stuff for about $6 and that takes me a couple of months to get through.

The G Sake should be consumed within a month. It might be "fresh" sake. Frank, you can look it up on wine.woot.com and see what the sake company and people there were saying about it when it was offered there a while. It sounds good.

What is "fresh" sake? Is that the cloudy stuff?

Yes, sometimes it's cloudy. We have a friend whose mother makes it--her homemade stuff is cloudy and sweet. I haven't had the bottled fresh kind, there was a good article in the NYTimes online shopping column about it a few months ago, which is the only thing I really know about it. If you search on the Times website, the article was by Michele Slatella. I like her column.

Pat, I missed it. But I usually check the prices and reviews on cnet.com before wooting...

                      Hi, Pat--

Woot.com sells a different discounted product every day. When the product of the day is sold out, that's it, no more new products till midnight CST.

But when they have a wootoff, they put up item after item, a new one as soon as the old one sells out. There's no way to know how many of an item they have, so if you want it, grab it. Last wootoff I got a good deal on a portable DVD player. I had time to run over to Amazon and check the reviews before buying.

The most interesting think about a woot-off is that every so often they have the much-anticipated "Bag of Crap." They are $1 apiece and you're supposed to buy 3, plus $5 shipping. So for your $8 you get--something. They sell out in less than a second. Most people get crap--broken electronics, coffee mugs, cheesy imported junk that would fit right in at a dollar store--but every so often Woot will ship a brand-new large-screen TV or a computer or something really good to a Bag of Crap buyer. That's what makes it so compelling to nab a Bag of Crap!

I think Frank and Glitter got BOCs--one got a pretty nice outdoor lantern and I think the rest was just generally crappy.

I got the lantern. And yes, the rest was crap.

Woot off is done and no bag of crap. Whats funny is I got Screaming Monkey again and it was the last item again. I got the green ones last time now I got the black ones. They are selling on Ebay for $50 each. I just need the red to finsh off the set.

4/27/2007 Screaming Monkey with Black Woot Cape 3

I will bet that with in a week or two , they will put the bag of crap up.

Three or four woot-off's ago I was addicted! Up til midnight, up at 4:00 am, three window open at work. I even got 3 BOC's, which were properly described. This time, I looked about 6-7 times over the two days. Never saw anything exciting! I just reviewd Woot Wiki, and don't see anything I missed.

My wife thinks I am nuts because I still buy those toys they put up. In fact Woot had these RC fighting robots for $20. Well I bought those 3 weeks ago from another site and paid $70 shipped for 2 sets. 1 for my 17 year old son and one for my 4 year old god son. Wish I would have gotten that Fighter RC jet for $20.

I just gave one of the wooden keyboards from the last woot-off as a 60th birthday present. He loved it! (Or so he says.)

I opened the box to look at it before I wrapped it and it really was very nice, rich smooth wood, very handsome.
