  • To The TUGgers Who Find Their Way Here

All you rank and file folks, regardless of what label they hang on you OY, JLB ain't mad at none of ya. Well, not many of ya.

When y'all come to Branson, y'all are still welcome on the Margaritaville Dock. Come on out for a ride on the BTSRN. The fish are bitin.

And if ya like to play golf, drop me a line for that, too.

I gave up golf in the interest of public safety but the fishing offer sounds reel good. I have heard there are a couple of nice, rustic TS resorts in your area( on a lake). Which do you reccomend? Thorson.

On Table Rock Lake in the Branson area, starting at 86 Highway and coming this way, there is:

              Big Cedar Wilderness Club
              Paradise Point
              Emerald Point
              Stormy Point--sorta on the lake
              Indian Point Resort
Branson Yacht Club in all its forms
              Still Waters
              Lantern Bay
              Royal Aloha
              Ozark Mountain Resort
              Kimberling Inn

Further away, at the beginning of Table Rock near Eureka Springs in Holiday Island, AR, is Table Rock Landing, a very nice, quiet place, with free on golf on their two courses.

We live 30 miles from the front gate at Holiday Island, and about the same from the Branson strip.
              Royal Aloha

Hey, JLB, enjoy the coming summer, and don't lose sight of the fact that you have many friends, OH and yes, even OY.

We may be un-appreciated old-timers OY, who have years of experience and some wisdom to share -- which in the current times of profit and spin seem odd to some -- but donnauworrreeee, at least we have TS4ms on which to share it.
Life is short, live it with this awareness.

Then you don't believe in the concept of free will? If you believe what you said below is the truth, then you and I are very different, because I believe people can recognize what is wrong with their character or behavior and change it, if the will to do so is strong enough.

I have learned that people are either inherently good, with strong character, motivated by what is right regardless of the personal consequences, or they are inherently bad, with weak character, and tend to go with the flow, to fit in to not be targeted. I also believe that each of us can't determine or change which we are...

I usually agree with what you post - but this I don't agree with. I'm hoping you don't truly believe those words because so many people fall in the middle.

I believe there are a lot of inherently good people out there who don't have a strong enough character to stand up for what is right regardless of the consequences. Oftentimes, the consequences of standing up for something can create a very negative backlash for the person, their family, their friends, and others, as well as having unintended consequences. But I don't think that makes them a bad person.

I think there are also inherently bad people who don't necessarily have weak character - but rather, really awful, bad character!

(Of course, I wish there were more people as you describe who have inherently good character and are willing to stand up for what is right regardless of the consequences. More of these people are needed in our world, and it seems they are few and far between.)

Not speaking for Jim, but what I took away from his thoughts are that we are born with a certain type of in-born nature which is, by way of natural law, hard to change with any permanence. You can see it in hospitalized patients all the time with regard to pain threshold, stages of loss, etc.
Some folks are terse, some are shy, some are gregarious, some cautious, some inflammatory, devisive, concillatory, stoic, etc.

No cause for debate. A nice discussion this makes as it's just a view on life, agree or not.

I agree because we are all so different.
