Actually, I'm getting bit displeased with Winestillsoldout. They need some fresh blood. I feel like they keep putting the same wines up over and over.

I know I've seen this rose about three times, the cheap shiraz I bought a couple of months ago...maybe my problem is that I only focus on the cheap wines. I thought the $6 Pozzi was gone already and then that was up again a week ago. The mini-bottles were different and I ordered them and that was a good deal.

There hasn't been much in the $8 to $20 range lately, either, has there?
Hello wackymother! I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment with the website. I guess it pays to be a newbie in this instance Did you ever purchase the rose? How did you like the shiraz?

I'm afraid I shall only be focussing on the "cheaper" wines as I have a son in hockey and daughter in figure skating--and we also like to travel I was bummed several times when I missed out on some wines in my price range (due to my not keeping up on the weekends!), and you are quite correct in there not having been much under the $15 cap I have allowed myself........

I'm not that disappointed, I'm just whining for the heck of it.

They ship incredibly fast and their customer service is good. I would like to see a mixed case of under-$10 wines, though, or a mixed case of under-$15 wines. I feel like--they only do one wine a day, it should at least be a new wine every day, not something that I've seen three times before.

Another site you might like is wine.woot.com. Their wines are more expensive, and their shipping is sssllllloooowwww, but they have very funny write-ups for their offerings (only one offer per week, posted on Mondays). Also they have a good chat board where people post about the wines.

The parent site is woot.com. That's a whole other addiction.

This past Monday's order (the two of them) was my first ever......and it is still listing it as "Not Shipped"? I was hoping to have it for the holiday weekend but doesn't look like it will make it. Did I read that someone (over 21?) would have to sign for it?

I love your idea of mixed cases......but have never seen the "mini bottles" you mentioned. Guess it is something I'll have to keep my eyes out for.

We get it fast because we live out east and they ship from NJ. I don't think you will get it by this week. The mini bottles are great. I have 1 per day with dinner. I had bought 2 cases and I am just about done with the first case.

BTW get to 15 posts so you can enjoy this site.

I didn't realize they ship to EVERYBODY from NJ--I thought they shipped from within each individual state. Guess not. Sorry, JoJo.

The mini-bottles were cases of very small bottles of beaujolais, six little four-packs per case. Very handy size. They'll probably come up again.

The size is really great. What did you think of the wine itself, Frank?

15 posts? But I already enjoy the site?? Do I need to do some research?

Darn about the delivery! Not only does my husband miss out on the cigarfests out there, but now I miss out on speedy wine deliveries

After 15 posts you will gain access to the Exchange opportunities board almost like Tugs Sightings board but we get thanks to our members about 100 sightings a day. That is addictive all we do in the morning is start to wonder what new place they find that you can go to. You can also join the political forum after you reach 15 posts and after you get to 100 posts you get to join the Steam room and members only forum.

Thanks for the explanation, wackymother! I've not had beaujolais before as I usually stay away from reds, but I'll be sure to try it next time I see it come up--the size sounds perfect!!

Yes, that's it. Good, not great. I wish more wines came in these little bottles. We used to get the half-size bottles when we could (we call them ponies, but no one else does, apparently) and a lot of good wines are bottled that way.

But most of the time when I see them now the price for a pony is about the same as it is for a full bottle.

Jojo, occasionally winestillsoldout has port. We all like port, but I'm not sure if anyone has actually been able to buy the port there--it sells out really quickly and it's always the half-size bottles.

Ahhh! Then maybe that explains why I see less sightings on TUG than I used to..........they moved here (JMHO)?

I have SO many years yet to retire..............and this darn job gets in the way of my wine purchasing and travel researching. That's all I need now is to maintain three websites while working

Thanks for the info on 15!

There is a $7.99 Cab they put in as a replacement from an earlier sold out item.

I saw that one, bigfrank....and was tempted. However, I did manage to refrain from purchasing that rose yesterday--which I'm really disgusted about now--so I figured I might as well wait for my first ever shipment to arrive before I make another purchase....or until another rose or white show up Actually, my DH doesn't even know about those first two orders yet from Monday Madness, as he was on a business trip

BTW, I got an e-mail today from Justin stating my order went out today and should arrive next Wednesday--can't wait

Over 21, and sober. No joke, it's legally required. I wonder what they fear will happen if they deliver wine to an intoxicated person in their own home?
