What do you think about the sauvignon blanc from California that's up on Winestillsoldout today? Should I spend the $9 x 6 bottles, or shall I wait till Cheapskate Wednesday next week?

BTW, I don't know how they do it. I was just looking at the packing slip for my case of little bottles from last month. The wine cost $31. The second-day Fedex would have cost $38! Even if they get a seriously discounted shipping rate, how much profit can they be making?

Good morning! I got a bit busy so didn't get back here to let everyone know my wine arrived this past Wednesday as scheduled. My DH has been traveling lately for work, and then we had that Memorial Day holiday vacation, and then he was on another business trip the day the wine arrived (okay, I'll admit I was a bit scared to tell him I'd spent over $100 on wine), so Thursday this week when he came home he saw the wine on the kitchen cupboard.......and asked me what the heck was up with all this wine (the 6 shiraz and 4 chardonnay from Marathon Monday)......and I was ready for a big lecture

So I told him the story about finding this new timeshare website and this thread about buying wine online cheap, how I had been watching the winestilsoldout website for several weeks before the special day arrived when they had those specials.......and his reply was, "I hope you bookmarked that site!!"

So last night with our filet mignon dinner that DH grilled up for us, we opened a bottle of the Palandri Shiraz, and we loved it! I didn't expect to enjoy it, as I don't usually like most reds Well, after cleaning up the kitchen from dinner I asked my husband to top off my glass, and he gave me this sheepish look...........because he had drunk the whole bottle himself!!! We then went over to the neighbors to visit and shared a second bottle with them.........

I guess I could have made that long story short and just said, we're *very* happy with our wine, and we're all ready for Cheapskate Wednesday!

            Jojo,

Your DH sounds like a keeper, and you are certainly a most worthy addition to the timeshare wino thread(s)

Aaahhhhh.........you two are making me blush over here. Thanks much!

I really do appreciate the wine information, being a newbe wine enthusiast, and as soon as winestilsoldout puts up a new wine, I check here to see if anyone's said anything.

I just realized that Wednesday the specials are going on, I'll be in the air flying back from Baltimore for a long weekend with my aunt and grandma-in-law

Do you think this will be like Marathon Monday where it will go on all day? Until midnight? I won't be getting home until 6:00 p.m.'ish. I wonder how busy my DH will be if he could keep an eye on the site for me and call me if need be.................this stinks!!!

Thanks for alerting me to the 15--I got so caught up in the wine I forgot to keep track! I right away went and did a posting on the RCI Exchange Opportunity (lookout sticky?).

                    This website is fantabulous

I ran a couple of errands so just saw that he had found it. I need to ask him if he thinks I missed the bulk bank. I've had an ongoing search going for over 3 months, but I have it looking for a 1BR, plus I would need 3 units so don't know if this is something pulled up from someone's deposit, or ???? Hopefully he can answer (guess)........

I wonder why they have had so many Rose's the last couple months? Slow sellers so they keep running them? Give me a good, cheapo, red anyday.

I'm still waiting for the Palandri Shiraz I ordered 5/22/07. They didn't ship til 5/28. Geesh!! Idaho is TOOOOOO far away from the shipper.

jojo, so glad to hear you liked it.

I feel like it's the same rose over and over. Is it, or is it just me unable to tell the difference?
