I just went for the $8.99 Australian sauvignon blanc they had today. Something about it spoke to me. Also only four bottles for free shipping, rather than the usual six.

Originally posted by GlitterI took four. It's summer, time for some whites! "Crisp, lively" whites, all the better! I usually prefer a white burgundy or chardonnay, but these will make excellent 'bring to a bbq' bottles...

They don't ship to TN, so could order some while we still have our house in MO and have it shipped there instead.

Good morning!
Wackymother,
I had passed on that Californian Sauvignon they had the other day, but as soon as I read today's "lime, melon and star fruit flavors" my tastebuds stood right up. So I ran over to this website to see if anyone had anything to say and was very pleased to see it passed inspection
Bigfrank,
I passed on that Sicilian red, as I'm trying to get a little bit of everything to start my collection.....and thought seeing as I still have 4 bottles left of the Shiraz I could hold out a bit. However, now that I have that goldwater chard (which we haven't tried yet) and the sauvignon coming, guess I'd better start looking for another red (still disappointed I passed on that delicious-sounding rose last week).
Now DH says I need to go buy a new wine rack because we're out of room in our current one--happy, happy over here

Originally posted by jojotravelI will start researching. I was supposed to be outside weeding and adding mulch to the landscaping, but it's raining
Would I put just the whites and roses in the frig? I thought reds were to stay at room temp? Sorry for my ignorance, but as I said, I am a newbie.Timeshareforums Shirts and Mugs on sale now! http://www.cafepress.com/ts4ms

Got a starter!

I picked up a very small starter wine cooler yesterday afternoon (Target had an 8-bottle Emerson for $69.99. Cleaned off the kitchen cabinet and DH got it all set up with our chards in there. This will hopefully work for us until DH gets our basement tiki bar finished (hopefully next winter) at which point he'll build a spot for a bigger, nicer one right in the bar.
Thanks again for all of the great advice!!
