    Most definitely!

Let us know when you're in the neighborhood

I suppose I shouldn't tell anyone that my DH is a gourmet griller (Friday night filet mignon with some sort of butter/lemon sauce; Saturday night maple glazed baby back ribs; Sunday some sort of fancy hamburger filled with herbs and cojack melted all over)........and before he started traveling so much for work (2 years ago), he used to brew beer!

DH is most definitely getting better with age

I'm still waiting for the Palandri Shiraz I ordered 5/22/07. They didn't ship til 5/28. Geesh!! Idaho is TOOOOOO far away from the shipper.

jojo, so glad to hear you liked it.

Recieved the Shiraz today. Chilled for 30 min. in the fridge & it is great. Well worth the $$. Yum, yum.

Just got mine. I will let it sit for a day or two and then try it out. It looks like we got a bargain considering it is a few years old.

            today's port?

            bigfrank,

wackymother had mentioned previously that they rarely have ports and they sell out quickly (I think that is what she said, anyway)........so I was wondering what your (or anyone else's) opinion is on today's Quinta Do Noval?

I would not buy it. It is a smaller bottle at 500Ml when it should be 750 Ml.

                Whew!

I hadn't even noticed that...........and even looking at it now, I wouldn't have caught that it was a smaller size and not as good a deal. As always, thank you, thank you bigfrank!!

I passed on it, too. I might have ordered if I realized it was a smaller size... when it comes to Port I am more of a "if it's expensive, it must be good" kind of girl...

But it gives me wicked headaches, so I indulge on only rare occasion.

Port does often come in 375 ml bottles...but with this one I was turned off by the unenthusiastic review, including the bit about how it tastes like shoe polish. If I want to taste shoe polish, I can always lick a can of Kiwi.

That chardonnay looks good...but I have my four bottles of sauvignon blanc rocketing toward me now.

I'm serious!! I'm in trouble!! I actually giggled (at my desk while I'm supposed to be working) when I saw the latest wine they put up! I just don't know if I can afford all of this wine (or afford to pass up on these deals and scrumptious-sounding wines)!!

I've been bitten bad..........tell me there's an antidote out there! I need a smilie with their hair being pulled out. My justification this time is that I will be traveling most of Cheapskate Wednedsay

I think I need to jump on this train. But I need serious help on Red Wine 101. I've gotten in a rut, want to try some new ones, but I'm chicken. Maybe a gentle nudge when a good one comes up would help.

I'm with you on that, Luanne! The only red I've ever enjoyed was that Palandri Shiraz I just got...........so I'd love to see what they nudge you with

I've got the Goldwater Chardonnay, the Sauvignon Blanc on its way, and now this most recent Chardonnay. I definitely need to get some reds for my DH!!
