  • today's wine

Good morning! Seeing as I missed almost the entire Cheapskate Wednesday, today's chardonnay caught my eye. Anybody have anything good or bad to say about it before I go ahead and order some?

BTW, last night we opened our first bottle of that Goldwater Chard from last month and very much enjoyed it

I think Glitter got some of this a while back--is that right, Glitter? They've definitely had it before, I remember the name.

I can't say about this one but I had 4 or 5 of the wines I just bought recently yesterday.

The magnum of 2000 Ruffino Chinati was perfect could not ask for better, The Polly Fussie was great, The Bin 300 was great, The Un rosa that Avery did not like but I had like was not that good yesterday. The 2005 Malbec that had a white was a bit young and needs to sit a few years.

I didn't like the Lost Block Chard when I got it. Screwtop to boot. Though I loved the screwtop Sauvignon Blanc that Wacky and I got. Glad to hear about the Chianti, Frank, I am saving mine...

Thanks for saving me $$$ and aggravation, Glitter! I haven't tried the Blanc yet......but am very glad to hear the positive review and will hopefully get to it this week/weekend

Bigfrank, thanks for the report on other wines.....I've added them to my notes for when I hopefully see them come up again!

I'm actually REALLY liking that screwtop sauvignon, and I'm liking the screwtop, too. Makes it a bit too easy to crack open a bottle and have a little nip!

If they offer that one again, guys, please tell me. I want to get some more.

Me too. And I usually stick with Chardonnay or white burgundy.

It's nice because it's a teeny bit less dry. Not sweet, just easy to drink.

That seems fair. Shouldn't be a problem prying my credit card out of my hand, either.
