Okay, Frank, I bought six bottles. Only because I have my DD's bat mitzvah coming up. In October. That's my excuse for buying wine. I now have enough wine stockpiled for about four bat mitzvahs.

I was just about to post this, too. Taking 6.

Also, btw, we opened the Pouilly Fuisse last night -- I am sorry we only took 6. I can't believe we got a great Pouilly for under $10... makes up for the Una Rosa we didn't like.

And you probably won't have any left come October

            Thanks for the heads up!

            Frank,

I also took six upon your recommendation.......but can I really only drink one of the bottles now? I just don't know if I'll remember not to touch it for 2 or 3 years

Our sales resistance must be at some kind of low ebb. I don't think we've ever all bought the same wine before. Frank, your word is LAW!

I finally got the first wine I ordered (one prior to Cheapskate Wednesday). I couldn't even tell you what it was, but I thought it was sooooo good. Dh even liked it. And Frank thought that one was just "okay". So, when one comes up that he really recommends...........I'm in.

I think I had said it was OK because it was not the cheap compaired to this one. This wine IMO will get better in two years time. Best to open one now and one every 6-12 months there after. Right now this wine imo is a little young. YOU ever notice that the older the wine gets the more it matures and the price goes up for those old left overs.

If anyone wants to read a book a good one is Guide to Wine by Fiona Sims.

I don't need to read the book! I've got a personal wine advisor!

You've read this right? Can I just continue to follow your advice? [Where is the bowing down smilie?]

I am not much of a book reader. I tend to fall a sleep after 4 pages. But I was able to get 75 pages done when I was on the beach at Gurneys. I am about a third of the way done. So far the book gives you a better understanding of what kinds of wines the areas specialize in. They tell you about what grapes are used and who has what grapes.

TS4ms should get a cut. Or we should negotiate a greater bulk discount Not that I'm complaining about the prices...
