Heard on the news that your part of Queens suffered a power outage. Were you directly affected?

I lost it about 7 times. Each time was about 10 sec the most was 30 sec. There are news all over the area and by the park. so I guess the black outs might be around me.

After last summers experience in Astoria the media, and city councilman Gioia are all over Con Edison, even if it is beyond their control. The Con Ed Rat Bas#!@*^ put in for a 12% rate increase. Funny thing is that Eric Gioia was stuck on the subway yesterday returning from city hall when the power went out on the east side.

Gonna be a long hot summer!

I thought that I was going to loose electricity a number of times yesterday. I kept loosing my satellite, and cable, for 5 minutes at a time. The lights were flickering on and off, endlessly. I was so happy that we never lost it.

It's only June, folks.

Phillies Pizza on Elliot was on the news. They were down over 2 hours and had to throw food out. Phillies is just 4 blocks from me.

What everyone should do is fill your freezers with as many the large Ice that you can fit packs. If power goes out you will have a few extra hours if not extra days of protection.
