I am writing this message using my son's computer in the parking lot at the Front Street Inn in Crescent City, CA. It's right near the Redwood Forrest.

I have had the hardest time over the past 24 hours getting internet access. I have almost every possible internet access back up and this place simply sucks.

My t-mobile dash doesn't work. Netzero is NetNegative as far as I'm concerned. The pop doesn't work here and there is $1.95/minute to get support.

There are no starbucks here. This must be the only place on earth without one.

I went to 4 different hotels AND the local coffee shop has free wifi and it doesnt' work either.

My laptop will connect, but it won't transfer any packets. so, the only freakin' way to get access to the internet is in the parking lot of this Front Street Inn motel using my son's laptop.\

Yuck. I've never had this much trouble getting internet access. I think I may need to get one of those satellite thingamajigs. Sigh.

Well to make matters worse I now lost my wireless in the house. While I was away my son unplugged the modem and the router because they needed to be reset. I found that the power plugs were reversed. It must have held on by a thread but it over heated and must have blown out. It is under warranty but I do not think I will have it before I leave for Europe.
