I hung out with and had a nice talk with my new friend Don Johnson yesterday evening. Yeah, that Don Johnson.

He is from this area and owns a farm nearby. He came to the country club to hit balls on the range. We ran his daughter around on the golf cart (she ran us around ) and we talked about things. He is between his Aspen ranch and filming in Moscow and London.

He introduced me to his wife and kids, who are about the ages of our great-nieces, 8 and 3.

Nice guy and nice family.

I played golf yesterday, combining a match-play event I needed to get out of the way and a guest from OY. We had a great time and a suspenseful match, not settled until the 17th. The young man I was match-playing was also match-playing another young man.

One of the employees said Don was back on Monday and he asked for me. It was a beautiful, warm day, but I felt the cockles of my heart get a tad warmer.

Sunday evening I had thought about asking him to play golf, but sensed that he wanted the private, family time.

I used to see him all the time in Miami when I was at Univ of Miami and he was still filming Miami Vice. He has had a good life.
