The story goes that for the New Year, you want to start out going forward, so you don't eat what goes backwards. Poultry walk backwards as it scratches for food. So for our family, we tend to eat pork, which pushes forward as it searches for food, or when the grocery store used to run special prices, we would have lobster. This is our New Years Day tradition.
Because of our change to this forward thinking, I have grown 6 inches and am now tall, dark and handsome. Okay, that part isn't true, I am still a short, fair skinned of Norwegian heritage and plain old guy. But we still do this tradition.
So what do you have for your new years traditions?
