  • My son made Rutgers

He just got an email from Rutgers admitting him. We are not sure about what Scholarship's there offering as it will be mailed to us. Problem is he wants to go to Stevens more. In this time line I hate to be in the Kids shoes what a tough choice to make for your future.

Congratulations! Did he apply for Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences or Engineering or both? Which one does he like?

I know the scholarships for in-state, but it's different for out-of-state. Sorry I can't help.

Did he have his Stevens interview yet? DD has hers on February 5.

I am not sure but since he wants Engineering I would guess to say that is what he applied to.

He has had his interview at Stevens and has applied for early decision. He is supposed to find out from them any time now with in the next 2 weeks.
I have a feeling that he will end up in Stevens but I hope he will consider Rutgers. We are also still waiting on RPI which he is now saying that he does not want to go there.

Congratulations! We live not too far away from the New Brunswick campus and have heard good things. As someone who is up to my ears in higher education, I am amazed at the competition to get into schools and the kind of stress it can place on young people (and their parents) to make these decisions. Thankfully a good education can be found in many places.
