I wonder how many people would really go for something like this

Personally, our dogs are part of the family; I can't imagine people buying "part" of a dog.

I do not like this, a dog is not property and needs 1 owner. Btw you can have my dog if you like.

I love my dog, but I would love for one of my friends to love my dog enough to watch my dog when we go on vacation!

Our friend with four dogs, who used to watch our dog, got a CAT, and our dog finds the cat irresistible and keeps bugging the cat. So the friend doesn't want to watch our dog anymore. And who can blame him?

He's my only friend, but just like life he keeps craping and craping and craping.

I had set something up with a freiend to watch my dog this week, I got a call yesterday that they can not do the first day. I felt it best to just board him up for the week. Many times after boarding my dog gets spitfull. He lets me know it by doing a in the basement.

Yes, our dog is going to the pet resort for a few days. Her accommodations cost more than ours do!

Actually, her usual place was full and I called another place where a friend takes her dogs for doggie day care. They said they had room but I would have to bring our dog for an INTERVIEW and submit a six-page application with essay questions (I am not kidding) on my dog's interests and hobbies (okay, I'm kidding a little bit, but there are essay questions).

I went back to the first place and begged them to find room for her. We're on the waiting list.

I love dogs dearly but won't have one. I traveled too extensively for work and now I just travel.

Cats are relatively easy to have a friend drop by every couple of days as long as you have the water fountain and food dispencer for them.

It might seem like a great idea for the humans, but I think it's a lousy deal for the dog They need consistency and a pack leader to follow. Different people will obviously treat the dog in different ways and the only likely result is one confused and potentially snappy dog.
On the other hand we have timeshare children - one nephew and one niece. That works out great for us as we can spoil them and their parents suffer the consequences, not us.

Seems like a terrible idea for the dog... only good thing would be if these dogs were homeless and confined to a "cell life" waiting for a new family...

maybe someone would fall in love and want to keep one...

Our Dauther lives about 82 miles away(164 miles round trip) in Madison Wisconsin and has 2 Beagles.

We take our Great Dane Ellie who is near 10 years old to our dauthers when we go on trips so Ellie has consistancy with the 2 Beagles and my Dauther when we go on timeshare vacations. It means 2 trips to Annes home of a little over 340 miles but we feel it it worth it knowing that our dauthers home is the best place emotionally for Ellie feeling secure with less stress with family and being part of that pack.

Next week on Thursday night for 9 days through Saturday we will be watching the 2 Beagles as our dauther and her husand as a thank you will staying at one of our ownerships for 7 days.

We are as a heartfelt thank you are sending them to use free one of our 4 two bedroom ownerships at the Gold Crown Lindo Mar in Puerto Vallarta were all of the units are Ocean Front and have a balcony. We are also providing the RT airfare as a thank you for the great care they give our Ellie.

Last year during week 4 we sent them on a exchange to the older Royals in Cancun. Tonyg, I would like to say thank for your help in picking out that 3rd floor ocean front 2 bedroom unit. They and their friends enjoyed that Royals resort and all 4 are looking foward to enjoying going to Puerto Vallarta tfor the first time.

Then in a few weeks we will be going our "Hot C" ownership in St Croix in time for the St. Pattys day parade witch is quite a sight. We will be wearing our special green St Croix St Patty shirts that are just like the one Big Frank has.

This is the worst part of timesharing for us leaving having our last dog at home, but we got her as a companion for our other Great Dane Max shorty before we got involved with timesharing.

We used to have a dog sitter come to our home for Ellie but after Max passed away she became lonely as he was here when we brought her home as a pup.

So for for our last about 20 trips or so we have taken her to our dauthers were we feel is the best place for Ellie.
