I, too, am sorry to hear that.

Was she from NY? That's a long ways from home for a soccer tournament.

So sorry to hear the loss of such a young life . . . made me call my son at college just to say I love you. No, I didn't break out into Lionel Richie.

          Yes, so sad.

Frank, we just never know who will be next.
Any loss sure hurts. I feel for your son.

          Hold him close Frank.

All the kids that went on vacation with me knew this girl. One person wanted to stay home a day or two and catch a flight down two days later. It is a good thing I told him it would take longer that 2 days to get her up here. It took until Wednesday to have the first viewing.
Would you believe that my best friend was the one who buried her. The family used Lloyd's Funeral home in Bayside and that is where my friend Sandy manages and runs the funeral home there.

I just spoke to my friend who was the funeral director. She had died at 10pm and my son who goes to the same school knew about it with in the hour. Also many of the other Schools in the area like St Francis prep also knew about it. The parents did not know about it until 2am 4 hours after it happened. They donated many of her organs and had the body cremated. I was reading an article on her in last weeks Ridgewood times. They quoted my sons Ex girl friend who is the Goalie of the soccer team.

It is a tremendously sad situation, but even in that difficult time the parents brought a ray of sunshine to those who were in need of those organs. Their thoughtfulness is to be commended.

My prayers to all those involved.
