  • Great customer service!!

This past weekend was my BIL's surprise 50th birthday party. My niece and her boyfriend were instrumental in getting everything ready during the party, such as getting the apps out etc. I had brought my coffee urn (about 10 years old) so we could have coffee with dessert, but her boyfriend wanted to make the coffee early. I told him I would make it after I had some appetizers and a cocktail, as we still had the meal to eat also. Well, long story short, he plugged in the coffee pot and when I came to make the coffee, I could smell the element burning, as there was no water in the pot. I didn't say anything, but we didn't have coffee for dessert!

I called Farberware the next business day, told them what happened and asked if it could be fixed. They put me on hold and came back to tell me that they were shipping a brand new urn to me, at no cost!! not only that, but the original urn was no longer in production and they were sending me one that makes 36 cups.

I couldn't believe that after 10 years they are replacing the urn. It is not too often that this happens and I was very grateful that I didn't have to spend $100+ on a new pot.

I have several Farberware items in my kitchen, which have served me very well over the years and after this, I will definitely continue to buy from them!!

I just had to share this story........Kudos to Farberware for such great customer service!!

Wow! And I need a new coffee urn, too...because I've had my MIL's on long-term loan for about the past ten years, and it's probably about 40 years old, and I think its time has come. Last time I had a party it was very iffy. Off to study Farberware coffee urns on Amazon.

              Tupperware will do the same

Tupperware stands behind their product no matter how old and no questions asked. I had a drinking cup with a lid that was several years old and it cracked. I called and the product had been discontinued but they replaced it with the model that had taken its placed. I sent the old one in and they sent the new one back. I have even heard of people going to Flea Markets/Yard Sales and buying Tupperware and then sending it in for replacements.

Same holds true for Craftsman tools from Sears.

Good to hear a happy story once in a while. Too bad they are few and far between.
