I had four people that had e-mailed me last week and ALL four had AOL accounts! It seems that AOL is blocking the activation e-mails from the website for some people and I assume that they are going into a SPAM box.
I will be rewriting the little text blurb that is at the top of the pages for users that need to activate their account telling them that they should check for an e-mail from us in their SPAM boxes and I want to confirm what e-mail address the activation code is from and include that so that they can search for the e-mail as well...
It is only some people that seem to be having issues but yes it is a frustrating situation!
I am also working on a new "Trouble Ticket" system that will allow people to enter a trouble ticket when they have problems. This way the problems will get logged into a database for tracking and trending and if Frank or I are away the e-mail is not sitting until we get back. Of course, there is still only so much that can be done by anybody without Admin Rights and obviously giving lots of people the ability to get into the database and make changes is not something that I want to do...
I hope that these two changes will improve the success of new members that have trouble getting their accounts activated.Comment

I sometimes wonder if AOL should be America Out of Line- there always seems to be some kind of a problem with their e-mail system.
