This is really one for Big Frank. Has anything happened with the old Neidersteins?

I love Neidersteins! My parents used to take us there when I was young, but I haven't been in many years. It was always the place we went after funerals, LOL. Loved the weiner schnitzel. Is it not there anymore?

I don't think it is. When DOD is in town we go to the german place in Glendale.

Neidersteins unfortunately closed down about 3 years ago. They knocked it down and in it's place is an Arby's and a Radio shack.

Did you live in the area?

Now where will you go after funerals? Arby's is depressing in all the wrong ways.

That is another one of my dad's favorites. Very nice. Is there still a big German community in Glendale? My (great) aunt Chris used to live there and I remember how the greeting cards she bought us were always in German.

Zum has always been the best German food in the area. Only place I like better is in Port Jeff.

Def Zum. Do not even think of not having the goulash soup. Just have the cup, though, not the bowl. If you have the bowl you will be filled up and can't eat much more. My faves are the Jaegersnitchel and Chicken Riesling.

Was at Lady of Hope 2 Saturdays ago. We had 20 local TS4Ms members there that night. and a couple from Ireland!

We have some serious wine lovers here. Me? I'm into decent/cheap Merlots. They put me to shame. We even have a wine lovers forum here now.
