I spend most of my chat time on TUG. I need to pay more attention to here.

We have some serious wine lovers here. Me? I'm into decent/cheap Merlots. They put me to shame. We even have a wine lovers forum here now.
This thread is making me hungry - I think we might need another road trip to Queens.

Sorry to take a bit getting back. Grew up off Metropolitan Avenue in Forest Hills. As a grade schooler, we went weekly to the Middle Village public library, probably read every book in the childrens and young adult sections - they would only let me check out ten a week and I read every one.
Dad took the M train every morning to work at the Lincoln Savings Bank. During college (after moving to Breezy Point), I would drive and park within 3 blocks of the M to go to Manhattan myself for work, and then hang out each night with my Ridgewood/Glendale buddies. We spent many a night 25 years ago, parked alongside Juniper Valley Park killing a 6 pack.
Now I live in the hinterlands of northern NJ and alternate with the Poconos.
Would love to attend a German food fest in the Ridgewood/MV area. I have numerous pictures of my father, and his parents at Niedersteins functions dating back to the 30's. The Lincoln Savings Bank held many functions their too, as it was staffed by many of German ancestry, like my dad.
It will be missed...

PS. First Dinkelacker is on me for all who attend...

I think we will have to run with a Glendale Zum party!!! Just a matter of finding what is best for all and if Zum will give us some party prices and seeing who is going to co-ordinate it.Lawren
