    Congrats, Frank! That's awesome!

Can you explain a little about the program, though? Are you dieting along with this? If so, what kind of diet? What do you mean by saying that some of your friends couldn't make it through the cleanse? Do you not eat when you're doing it or what?

Congrats, Frank! That's an impressive amount of weight to lose!

I've been dieting since September, but I have found it very rough going -- I have been cold and hungry a lot. In October, I started taking ephedrine because I just couldn't deal with how cold I felt. That helped some, but it's still been pretty rough. In fact, I've been tempted to give up lately -- I haven't lost anywhere near enough to get to a normal weight, and almost every night, I feel so hungry that I just want to cry. (I do end up crying from hunger some nights, actually; it's that bad.) Maybe hearing about someone else here dieting will help me stay focused.

I've never heard of Isagenix -- I'll have to look into that.

            Judy,

Dieting is such a hard thing to do and I hope you will succeed. I am not familiar with Isagenx either but looked it up. Here is the web site.

We like Bragg's organic apple cider vinegar which helps with weight loss too and has other benefits. I like the taste and it is a good pick-me-up for me when I am tired. It seems to help immediately. You can buy it at the health food store and it isn't expensive either.

The trip to Greece is what put me over the edge. 5 weeks in Europe and 3 weeks of Salty gyros had me so blown up that I had to see a doctor and get on water pills and followed that up with blood pressure meds. My right foot and leg had swollen up like a balloon. I had to do something fast. So now I am in better shape than I was before I left for Europe. In fact I have not felt this great in over 5 years. I am now less than when I first tried Isagenx some 3 or 4 years ago.
            Frank,

I am so happy for you and also for your wife and son that you took action fast. I hope you all have fun on your well deserved vacation and enjoy eating and drinking during your stay because one week of spoiling yourself will not make much difference if you use the pool and fitness center or make long walks on the beach. I assume there is a beach.

              Judy -

I, too, am on Isagenix and have found it to be a great program...I'm not starving and have really made a lifestyle change. I'm down 20 with 10-15 to go. Go to Welcome to Isagenix, World Leader in Nutritional Cleansing

If you (or anyone else) are interested in doing the program, PM me and we can chat. I can set anyone up on the program who is interested. Life is too short to be so miserable you can't sleep or are so miserable at night.

Congrats Franks. I maybe you can figure out how to incorperate the push up motion into a more fun activity.

CONGRATS TO YOU!! Giving up all those yummies took a LOT of self control. I am a food addict and the sugar is my favorite!

Congratulations Frank Ill bet it makes you feel a whole lot better. Several years ago I took off 75 pounds with Atkins.
I am still down 50 and I looking forward to getting rid of the other 25 again soon.
I am not familiar with the Isagenix though.

But other than travel, health and nutrition has become a hobby of mine. Not because I wanted it to but because I had to . I second Emmy's recommendation of Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar and use it with a little honey. I started with it a few weeks ago along with green tea that I make as sun tea. I first used the apple cider vinegar from Trader Joe's but it is Pasteurized and Bragg says that makes a difference and that raw has more nutrition. I think the Bragg is working better. I use the green tea bags and don't use artificial ingredients. Independent news on natural health, nutrition and more has some good articles on Apple Cider Vinegar also. WARNING It may be harmful to the enamel on your teeth as it is acidic so I rinse after taking it with some baking soda mixed in water. But it does make your body more alkaline.
I have to avoid most artificial ingredients as they do not agree with me the first I noticed was MSG. Even with regular meat many times they are adding types of artificial ingredients I heard a butcher calling it pump pork. I can eat all the sea salt I want but this stuff makes me ill. Some brands of 1/2 and 1/2 have artificial ingredients listed on the label. I could go on and on. All processed food in the middle of the store is taboo for me. I eat brown rice, quinoa, and beans (I buy dry most of the time and make my own). There is a doctor (Neurosurgeon) that has written a lot of info on artifical ingredients and toxins that is on the internet Dr. Russel Blaylock.
Although excess weight is bad some diets may be very dangerous and maybe worse. High protein taken to an extreme may not be healthy . Vegetables and fruits have many healing properties. A couple of good websites are Dole Nutrition Institute and the University of Michigan School of Integrative medicine has a Healing Foods Pyramid. UMIM: Healing Food Pyramid
8 to 10 Servings of Vegetables and Fruits a day may be what the doctor ordered.
Another real good source of info I have found is Natural Health Information Articles and Health Newsletter by Dr. Joseph Mercola for health.
I believe many of our common ailments today can be treated better by diet, sunshine (Vitamin D), some exercise and faith than by pharmaceutical drugs. They keep hitting the news for the lies they have been telling us consumers. The side effects for their drugs many times are worse than the conditions they treat.

If you can do it you will feel great. Many of my friends tried and could not get past the first day. I prepare my self mentally for it before hand so I am ready for it. I also try to sleep late and go to bed early that helps out.
